It has been said that ’30 Rock’ actor Alec Baldwin has indeed issued an apology to all the rest of the plane passengers, following an incident which occurred on American Airlines just this week.

The actor was asked to please exit the flight from Los Angeles to New York, this following an apparent incident towards a flight attendant over him using his phone before the plane took off.

Also Baldwin did go on to say, yes he was using his phone while the plane sat at the gate and also there were other travellers also using their devices, he does in fact believe that he had been singled out by a flight attendant on two occasions.

“I guess the fact that this woman, who had decided to make some example of me while everyone else was left undisturbed, did get the better of me,” he admitted

“Airlines in the US are struggling with fuel costs, labour costs, bankruptcies, you name it. It’s no secret that the level of service on US carriers has deteriorated to a point that would make Howard Hughes red-faced. Filthy planes, barely edible meals, cuts in jet service to less-traveled locations,” he wrote.

“One of the big changes, in my time, is in the increase of the post-9/11, paramilitary bearing of much of the air travel business,” he added.

“September 11th was a horrific day in the airline industry, yet in the wake of that event, I believe carriers and airports have used that as an excuse to make the air travel experience as inelegant as possible.”

American Airlines previously responded to the incident with its own statement, claiming that Baldwin had been “extremely rude” to its staff and defending the decision to remove him from the aircraft.

Baldwin has since deactivated his Twitter account following the incident.
