TMZ reports: 53-year-old Jeffrey Johnson was fired from his job last year at Hazan Imports, a woman’s clothing store … across the street from the Empire State building. He returned this morning around 9AM for revenge, shooting and killing a former co-worker with a .45-caliber handgun.
The streets were packed with tourists and commuters at the time — and according to police, Johnson fled the scene … walking up 5th Avenue with his gun concealed in a black bag under his arm.
An eyewitness who saw the shooting alerted nearby officers who then approached Johnson — and cops claim Johnson responded by taking out his gun and opening fire.
The officers returned fire, killing Johnson — and upwards of 9 bystanders were injured in the crossfire.
Mayor Bloomberg released a statement saying, “What I want to do is assure everybody this has nothing to do with terrorism.”

TMZ reports: TMZ obtained a tax lien filed by Uncle Sam, which shows O.J. failed to pay nearly $180k in federal taxes from 2007 through 2010 … while he was rotting away in a Nevada prison cell.
Here’s the yearly breakdown:
2007 – $15,927.89
2008 – $105,119.71
2009 – $49,490.27
2010 – $8,897.20
All totaled up, Simpson allegedly owes $179,435.07.
The lien is just the latest in a string of problems for the former football star — 7 months ago his FL home was foreclosed on … and he’s still locked up for kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges from a 2007 Las Vegas incident.
Plus, he still OWES MILLIONS to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman … because, ya know, he killed them.
TMZ reports: It’s a shocking development — considering both sides were trying to strip each other of custody. Tameka felt the singer was an absentee father who was too absorbed in his career to be a good dad. She also accused him of using drugs in front of the kids.
Usher argued Tameka was inattentive and irresponsible.
The ruling marks the end of an emotional custody trial — involving wild accusations and name-calling … Usher even broke down at one point on the witness stand.
But today, we’re told a judge sided with the singer — awarding Usher primary custody of the ex-couple’s two sons, which means the children will be spending the majority of the time with their father.
Tameka still retains some custodial rights — but the extent to which Tameka will be able to see her kids is unclear.
TMZ reports: Law enforcement sources tell us … Baldwin was initially pulled over at 5:14 PM after cops say he made an illegal U-turn in Harlem.
During the stop, we’re told cops noticed Baldwin was driving with a suspended license … so they arrested the actor and hauled him to a nearby jail where he was booked for aggravated unlicensed operator [of a motor vehicle].
Baldwin is scheduled to appear in court in October to be arraigned. We reached out to Baldwin’s people for comment — so far, no word back.
After all this happened, Frank goes on again, and wins another Head of Household, so now we all know that this week is going to be another week of backstabbing, and secret conversations.
Big Brother Network reports: Last night after receiving his HoH room, Frank sat down with Britney to discuss his options. Flashback to 1:20AM BBT. Frank invites Britney over to the couch and for a moment there I thought he would follow that up with his patented “do you want to make out?” move, but no, just game talk this time. Frank wastes no time in telling her he will not be nominating her and Shane. Instead he tells Britney the nominations will be Dan and Danielle. No surprises there.
Frank goes on to chastise Britney for what he feels was bad behavior for “taking advantage of Ian” as he sees it. Seems Frank still believes Ian was convinced and persuaded by the rest of the HGs that Boogie was a bad guy and needed to go for that reason. Ian has really pulled the wool over on Frank.
Moving along in the night you’ll find Danielle visiting Frank in the HoH room. Flashback to 3:03AM BBT to hear Frank confirm Danielle’s fears that he’ll be nominating her with Dan. Frank tells her that if he can’t get out Dan then she’ll have to go since she’s his closest ally. Danielle is ready to abandon Dan and make a deal with Frank.
After Danielle reports back to Dan, Flashback to 4:15AM BBT, the plan is formed to reveal Ian’s involvement with Boogie’s eviction. At this point Frank doesn’t believe a word Dan says and he’s completely fooled by Ian. I don’t think this is going to work to save Dan before nominations.
The pressure is growing in the Big Brother house and we’re going to see some serious backstabbing and deal making as we head through the weekend. There will be

Jennifer Garner is seen in her new movie(trailer) “Butter” and the movie is all about being a quirky comedy, with other stars like Ty Burrell, and Ashley Greene.
Per the synpsis, “Butter is the story of the ambitious Laura Pickler (Garner), the self-anointed First Lady of Butter Carving. Refusing to accept that her husband (Burrell) wants to step down after his 15-year run as the ‘Iowa State Butter Carving Champion,’ and therefore end the Pickler family’s reign in the spotlight, Laura takes a stab at the title herself. But her bid for glory is complicated when two unlikely contestants enter the race – one, her husband’s hard-living mistress (Wilde), and the other a 10-year-old foster child named Destiny (Shahidi). Enlisting the help of her high school sweetheart, Boyd (Jackman), Laura will stop at nothing to be crowned champion, even if it means resorting to sabotage. Part political satire, part Capra-esque comedy, Butter is a story about what it means to win at all costs and against all odds.”
In a staggered release setup, “Butter” will first come to On Demand on September 7th before its October 5th theatrical date.
