Angelina Jolie‘s directorial debut is in her new film The Land of Blood and Honey which has a lot of violence and rape scenes in it because after all it’s set during the war between Bosnia and Herzegovina which took place between 1992 and 1995 where an estimated 300,000 people were killed massacred and raped.

And yes it’s a twisted love story… a very complicated one which happens between a Bosnian woman and a Serb Soldier who are sworn enemies during the conflict. And yes he does rape her. And the n she falls in love with her own rapist.
