Rod Taylor has died. Another great Hollywood star from film and television, who appeared in over fifty films which includes The Time Machine, Seven Seas to Calais, The Birds, Sunday in New York, Young Cassidy, Dark of the Sun, The Liquidator, and The Train Robbers was eighty four years old. The Australian star was from Lidcombe, a suburb of Sydney, and he was an only child to a construction contractor and a commercial artist. On Thursday night, following a dinner party at his home he passed away.
Reports state he suffered a heart attack.
Tippi Hedren, Taylor’s co-star in The Birds, said he had been a “great pal” and given her “real strength”.
She told People magazine:
“There are so many incredible feelings I have for him.
“He was one of the most fun people I have ever met, thoughtful and classy. There was everything good in that man.”
