Survivor Rocker Jimi Jamison, 63, Has Died

resizedimageJimi Jamison passed away. The sixty three year old was a rock vocalist for the rock bands Cobra and Survivor has died of an apparent heart attack on Sunday night August 31, 2014. It was his booking manager, Sally Irwin, who confirmed the sad news to Tmz.com.

In 1984, he joined up with the Tiger hit-makers when his band Cobra ended. He was the lead vocals for hits such as Is This Love, The Moment of Truth from The Karate Kid and Burning Heart from the Rocky Iv movie. He also sang and co wrote the theme tune I’m Always Here for Baywatch.

He was from Mississippi. When he was young, he taught himself how to play guitar and piano. and by middle school, he was playing in a band.
