Rupert Grint Making His Broadway Debut

resizedimageRupert Grint is to make his Broadway debut. Well known English actor from the Harry Potter films (Ron Weasley) who, last year made his professional stage debut as he played the part of a drug dealer in ‘Mojo’ in London’s West End, will now join the ‘It’s Only a Play’ cast. The official opening date is October 9, 2014 in one of the New York’s theatres.

The twenty five year old Thunderpants star will join come other casts, with the likes of Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, F. Murray Abraham, Stockard Channing, Megan Mullally and Micah Stock which will be staged at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.

The play is set at a Broadway producer’s Manhattan townhouse during the opening-night party for a nervous playwright’s newest work.

Rupert will is set to play acclaimed theatre director Frank Finger.

Rupert previously revealed starring in ‘Mojo’ had made him eager to work more in theatre.
He said:

”It’s opened my eyes; I’ve learned so much.”
