English Singer Lily Allen Wanted Fame To Get Special Treatment

resizedimageLily Allen always wanted fame. She is an English singer known for her hit single Smile and famous is something she always wanted to be. The twenty mine year old is the daughter of Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen and in 2005 she put some of her recordings on Myspace because one of her dreams was to be a celebrity one day because she wanted to get special treatment from people. Speaking in an interview with the Telegraph magazine, she said:

[I always wanted to sing but more than that] I think I wanted to be famous. [I'd see] how people treated famous people better than they treated not-famous people. [I wanted to] feel special.”

The star has children Ethel, two, and Marnie, fifteen months, with her husband Sam Cooper and she believes her determination to become famous came from her mother’s glamorous lifestyle. She explained:

”Mum would get dressed up and go to the BAFTAs or a film premiere, and I felt like I wanted to make that a reality; that I was part of that world and had a right to be there, rather than feeling like we were acting at it.”

However, she also recently admitted that she didn’t want her children to follow in her footsteps and become famous.
She said previously:

”If you come from a dysfunctional family like I came from, it’s pretty straightforward, that kind of dreaming … My parents weren’t around much when I was a kid, so that’s what you want for your kids, not to have that environment.”
