Emma Watson struggles to fit in. The English actress, who played the part of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films says she can find it utmost difficult to because of her status of fame and explains her entire canteen ”went completely silent” when she attended university for the first day in 2009. The star also modeled for Burberry and she says that it is just real hard for people to realize she is just a girl. The twenty three year old says her fellow Brown University students on her first day had been stunned into silence. She said:
”On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned around to look at me. I had to say to myself, ‘It’s OK, you can do this’. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage.
”I have moments where I will walk into a bar and it will take me making a joke to put people at ease, to realize I am just a girl.”
The star, who studies at Brown(US) , then moved onto Oxford University (UK) then returning to Brown (US) also said that being followed by the paparazzi made it real hard to interact with her fellow students. She told Sunday Times Style magazine:
”After ‘Harry Potter’, all that mattered was university. I didn’t even know if I wanted to be an actress…
”It wasn’t always easy to break down barriers, as having men from the British press following me with cameras didn’t help my mission to integrate.”
