Colin Farrell, 37, Says His Passion For Acting Was ‘Toxic’ For 7 yYears

resizedimageColin Farrell and his passion for acting has been toxic for seven years. It was back in 2000 when he started being recognized when he starred in Tigerland. The star, who is now thirty seven years old has had some wild behavior in the last years which has given him the ideal of a bad boy in Hollywood form 2000 until 2006 . He also says that his high level of fame which came to in ‘diluted his passion for performing. He said:

”I was removed from the amount of passion and curiosity that I had about acting.

”Maybe that passion and curiosity got diluted or a little bit toxic due to the amount of success and fame that came my way.”

 The Irish star also starred in Ballykissangel was surprised to see that people still showed much support to him during and after his bad boy days during his career. He explained:

”I know that people rooted for me during those wild years, and that was lovely to discover after the fact.”

But now Farrell, who has two boys, ten year old James and Four year old Henry, is now doing much smaller movie parts, and now he is much happier. He told the Irish Post newspaper:

”After ‘Miami Vice’ [in 2006], some big films went away from me. But that was kind of okay because I had other work lined up that provided an opportunity for me to go back to the more simplistic elements of what I was trying to do, which were the elements I fell in love with.”
