Russell Crowe Devastated By Longtime Friend’s Sudden Death

resizedimageRussell Crowe is devastated by friend’s death. Crowe did gain much of his fame as the role of Roman General Maximus Decimus Meridius in the film the Gladiator and he is taking the death of his close friends sudden death of the Australian television personality Charlotte Dawson.

He was said to have broke down in tears when he first heard of the sad news, Dawson had a suffered depression for a long time. She was found on Saturday morning, February 22, 2104 dead at her home in Sydney. Forty nine year old Crowe took to his Twitter:

”Charley D…Just don’t understand. There’s not enough kind souls as it is. Rest in peace. (sic)”

Crowe and Dawson knew each other since they were teens, they were both raised in New Zealand before moving to Australia. Also reported another close friend of Dawson told the  Sydney’s Daily Telegraph that she had been,

”in the worst shape emotionally” in recent days.

She had been found by a security guard when an estate agent, who was trying to get in touch with her asked to check if she were at her home. Another insider said:

”She was in very bad shape. Terrible shape.”
