Yolanda Foster has opened up about her chronic Lyme disease battle. The Dutch model, who is best known for starring in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills had to be placed into bed ridden for the total of eight months. She is the wife of music producer David Foster, and i n 2012 she had been given the diagnoses of tick-borne illness, she has been dealing with this illness for a year and a half now.
In an interview with America’s Life & Style magazine, the 50 year old reveals the condition affected her brain function and left her incapacitated for months. She says,
“I had such severe neurological Lyme disease, it shut down the function of my left frontal lobe. I couldn’t write, I couldn’t read – I was in bed for eight months staring at the ceiling.
“I started to think I was going insane. There were times I felt I couldn’t live another day this sick…”
She say that she is fighting back at the disease, saying,
“I’m optimistic. Every day I’m fighting for my life.”
She was previously married to Mohamed Hadid, and they have three together, Gigi, Bella and Anwar. She divorced Hadid, then she married Foster on November 11, 2011. December, 2012 she was diagnosed with Lyme disease.
