Luke Bryan on Stage Collapse ‘It Could Have Been a Life or Death Situation’. He is a pop country singer, who is known for such hits as All My Friends Say, We Rode Trucks and Country Man’s concert ended on January 16, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio, and what happened was not foreseen, a stage incident where four crew members had been injured and Bryan was left shaken up.
Bryan sounded upset as he recounted the details of the collapse for radio station 98.1 the Bull, explaining,
“It was minor injuries that really, really could have been catastrophic.”
“We had one guy that if he had not gotten out of the way, it could have been a life or death situation. It was scary,” the singer admits, adding, “But everybody’s okay. No fans were in the building when any of this happened.”
According to reports, what occurred was a forklift struck the rear of the stage at the time crews were tearing it down, Bryan reveals that there was some equipment damage, and because of this Friday nights, January 17, 2014 show has been postponed.
“We’re just so bummed for the people in Lexington,” Bryan states. “We want to make it go well and make everything run smooth. Lee and Cole can still be on the show. We will come back in and make it even more exciting, even more fun.”
Although it is a let down for Lexington fans, the country star promises to make it up to fans. The show will go on, February 21, 2014.
“I can hone in the dance moves a little better,” he jokes.
