Little Mix says we are not manufactured. The British group made up of four girls, which consists of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall had many feeling of anger when they were described as a ”manufactured girl band” because the girls say they are very involved from beginning to end in the creativity p[process of their albums. They were the winners of the X Factor 2011 and recently released a second album called ‘Salute’ and they feel proud because their music has evolved. But it is tiring to hear that their talents are dismissed just because of the way they found their fame.
”Everyone just keeps calling us a ‘manufactured girl band’ and that isn’t the case at all. We write our own music, we’re involved in absolutely everything. ”Everything comes from us, it’s as raw as it gets.”
Not just their music is changing, their style is too.
In a joint interview in the new issue of Fault magazine, Perrie – who is engaged to One Direction’s Zayn Malik – said:
”Obviously our style is evolving, our music is evolving and everything is moving slowly together. We’re not wearing hot pants, gyrating on the floor. We’re just becoming a bit more classy, a bit more grown up.”
Little Mix will embark on a nineteen date tour in the February through the United States followed by eighteen arena concerts the UK and Ireland.
