Elle MacPherson‘s ĥusband’s helicopter crash lawsuit against him has been dropped. The Australian businesswoman, television host, model, and actresses spouse Jeffery Soffer’s friend had been killed during the crash. Soffer, who does own the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, did make it through the 2012 Bahamas accident but his friend Lance Valdez perished when the aircraft had to crash land.
It was last December when Soffer had been given a wrongful death lawsuit from Valdez‘s widow, Dasha Gogoleva, threw out accusations that Soffer had been flying without a license and later persuading pilot David Pearce to say he was at the controls. The lawsuit had been filed at the Miami Federal District Court in Florida, but now has now been withdrawn.
Soffer‘s attorney Bob Martinez tells New York Post gossip column Page Six,
“We were not surprised by the decision to withdraw this lawsuit, which was riddled with factual errors and unfounded accusations. The case collapsed just a few weeks after the lawsuit was filed… Before we even had a chance to respond, confirming that it was… frivolous.”
Macpherson and Soffer were married in 2013.
