Paul Walker couldn’t take being away from his daughter for a moment. It is possibly one of the saddest things to have hear that his life in a spilt second is over when he and his fifteen year old daughter Meadow were just starting to make some beautiful memories together. But they did make his film roles into bonding moments.
Walker and Meadow had worked out every moments of together special, as they coordinated Paul’s work schedule in order to spend as much as their time together as possible. Meadow didn’t want her dad to miss out on a film role, she actually encouraged him to take every experience he could until his untimely death on November 30, 2013.
Paul did not want his career to take away from his budding relationship with his teenage daughter.
“Paul told Meadow he didn’t want to take a particular movie because he didn’t want to be away from her,” said Paul’s friend Brandon Birtell told People.
Meadow encouraged Paul to follow every opportunity, and even found a way to turn his jobs into family time!
“[Meadow] asked where it would be shooting and he gave her the dates and said, ‘Overseas.’ She thought for a minute and said, ‘That’s during my summer vacation. We can do that.’”
Paul Walker has struggled when he was not with Meadow.
Paul was especially careful not to miss moments with his daughter because she had only started living with him full-time in his Calif. home in her teen years.
“It really affected him that he missed time with her in her early years because he was working,” Paul’s longtime manager and friend, Matt Luber, told People. “It was a struggle for him … he wanted to make the most of every single moment with her. He was completely dedicated.”
