Bill Beckwith has died. The co host of Curb Appeal was killed in a motorcycle crash he was just thirty eight years old. The accident occurred on Monday, December 2, 2013. Bad news news once again, first the death of Into the Blue actor Paul Walker and now Beckwith, a contractor fro the show, following the crash in San Francisco, the medical examiner’s office told the San Jose Mercury News
According to local reports, Beckwith died at San Francisco General Hospital after he was hit on his motorcycle by another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and is said to be cooperating with the investigation. (The identity of the driver in question has not been released.)
Beckwith founded his San Francisco construction company BB Design Build in 2001. He also co-hosted HGTV’s Curb Appeal with John Gidding for two seasons.
“The HGTV family is deeply saddened by Bill’s tragic death, and we mourn his loss along with his many family and friends who will miss his creativity, adventurous spirit, and general love of life,” the network said in a statement on Dec. 3.
Following Beckwith’s death, a memorial page was set up on Facebook.
“My love, so kind and bright, adventurous and strong. You are loved by so many good people!” Yulia Korneeva (identified by local news as his girlfriend) wrote on the site. “I wish you could stay with us for way longer.”
