Michael Bay speaks his attack while on set in Hong Kong. The Armageddon and Pearl Harbor special effects director had been by two men, who were asking him for money on set of ‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction’ on Thursday, October 17, 2013. The also co founder of the of commercial production house The Institute, a.k.a.The Institute for the Development of Enhanced Perceptual Awareness,
“One of the men attacked Bay with an air conditioner after asking him for money, the studio released a statement describing the incident as “a bizarre encounter with a man allegedly under the influence of a narcotic substance”.
The statement also said,
“The man, who had earlier accosted several other crew members, rushed onto the set in Quarry Bay and swung the air conditioning unit directly at Bay‘s head.”
“The director ducked and wrested the air conditioner from his attacker, preventing what could have been a serious accident. The company’s security team quickly stepped in and subdued the assault.”
Also reported is that the two attackers, brothers were demanding forty eight year old Bay to hand them over HK, one hundred thousand dollars (twelve thousand nine hundred U.S.dolalrs) because they felt they were owed it for filming on location.
Bay endured jut some minor injuries refusing treatment and filming went on. Allegedly the attackers are to face charges on the suspicion of blackmail and assault for the youngest brother whereas the oldest sibling was arrested for suspicion of assault.

” that the men were vendors and wanted more money than the “fair price” vendors receive”.
“I personally told this man and his friends to forget it we were not going to let him extort us. He didn’t like that answer. So an hour later he came by my crew as we were shooting, carrying a long air conditioner unit. He walked right up to me and tried to smack my face, but I ducked threw the air unit on the floor and pushed him away.”
Transformers: The Age Of Extinction’ release date is June 27th 2014.
