LeAnn Rimes’ invasion of privacy lawsuit has been dismissed. Well it’s over and now the two room can breath. What Los Angels court records are showing is that the singer’s suit which had been against Kimberly Smiley and daughter Alexis Smiley was dismissed on Monday.
This means Rimes can never file against this case again. What the case was about, is back in August 2012 Rimes had started to sue the woman she had claimed that they taped a phone conversation with her and posting it online. She also claimed that the recording damaged her reputation and relationships, and caused her emotional distress. Following the suit being filed Smiley denied any wrong doing.
Steve White, an attorney representing the Smileys, says the two sides resolved their differences and he could not comment further.
Rimes’ lawyer, Larry Stein, has not yet commented.
