Amazing Race season 22 has eliminated another couple last night, after David & Connor O’Leary sadly left the show.
Hollywood Hills reports: The show started off with the teams, finding out they had to fly to Hanoi,Vietnam to get there first clue for this leg of the race. Then they showed footage of David & Connor telling host, Phil Keoghan, they would have to quit due to poor David’s achilles tendon injury,so they were out for good.
Next, the teams arrived in Hanoi,Vietnam,and had to hit up a theater, where they ran into a Road Block challenge. During the challenge, they had to memorize a Vietnamese phrase that was presented to them after having to listen to an absolutely horrible,horrible, song,and then they had to get a poster that had that same phrase on it to get their next clue.
After those clues were gathered, the teams had to participate in a bamboo dance elsewhere in the city to get their next clue. Once they did, they ran into their detours. They got to choose to do either the “Make Your Move,” or “Make Your Meal” detours. In the “Make Your Move” detour, the teams had to match chess pieces in the right order to get their next clue. In the “Make Your Meal” detour, the teams had to properly prepare Vietnam’s national dish to get their next clue.
After all that madness, the teams had to go to the B-52 memorial to get their next clue. Once they got there, a double u-turn was presented to the teams who arrived the fastest. Pamela & Winnie decided to u-turn Meghan & Joey,so they had to go back and complete the 2nd Detour. However, they did use the 2nd u-turn on Chuck & Wynona,so Chuck & Wynona befell the same fate.
Then it was revealed that Winnie & Pamela showed up in first place ,and won a trip for two to Whistler Resorts in Canada from Travelocity. Max & Katie arrived in 2nd place, Mona & Beth came in 3rd place, Bates & Anthony arrived in 4th place , Caroline & Jennifer showed up in 5th place, Joey & Meghan arrived in 6th place ,and Chuck & Wynona showed up last.
However, host Phil Keoghan ,revealed to them that they were not eliminated,because poor David & Connor had to drop out due to David’s injury.
