Harry Potter’s Emma Watson is trying to seek out to play the lead role as Cinderella In the newest upcoming Disney Cinderalla Flick.
Hollywood Hills reports:According to Variety, former Harry Potter hottie ,Emma Watson, is currently in talks to play the legendary role of Cinderella in Disney’s new big budget Cinderella flick.
Unfortunately, Disney wouldn’t comment on their talks with Emma. Also , they previously considered other actresses: Gabriella Wilde (“The Three Musketeers”), Saoirse Ronan, and Alicia Vikander (“Anna Karenina”), but couldn’t close deals with them due to scheduling and other conflicts. Well, I definitely hope Emma lands the role.
They went on to reveal that Kenneth Branagh is signed on to direct the new flick,and it will be produced by Allison Shearmur of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” David Barron of “Jack Ryan” ,and Simon Kinberg. Actress Cate Blanchett is signed on to play the evil stepmother. Production is scheduled to start as soon as the Fall 2013 with a hopeful 2014 release date in the works
