According to new reports singer Britney Spears did not leave the show the X Factor and in fact she may have been fired from the reality show.
Showbiz Spy reports: Sources say someone in Spears’ camp “leaked” that she quit the Fox talent show in a bid to head off her own firing.
“Obviously it saves her the humiliation of being fired,” a source said.
“Everyone knows Simon Cowell was not happy with her bland performance on the show. It’s been said before: he wanted crazy Britney, she gave him Britney on sleeping pills.
“Over the holidays Simon and the production team discussed the judge’s lineup for next year and Britney was not part of their plans.”
