Jay-Z was taking a ride on the New York City Subway all the way in September and a lady sit beside him and asked him some innocent questions.
Celeb Spin reports: In the clip, the “Empire State of Mind” rapper is mobbed with fans and ends up in a seat next to an elderly woman who clearly doesn’t know who he is.
The woman innocently asks, “Are you famous?” to which Jay replies, “Yeah. Not very famous, you don’t know me. I’ll get there someday.”
As the conversation continues, Jay-Z explains that he’s playing the last of eight shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and the woman tells him she’s “proud” of him for riding the subway.
