Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries filed for divorce just over a year ago, and they still arent divorced, and frankly she is getting fed up.
Celeb Spin reports: Hoping to speed up the process, Kim’s attorney Laura Wasser told the L.A. Superior Court judge on Wednesday (November 28), “Ms. Kardashian is now handcuffed to Kris Humphries. These delays are forcing her to be married. She wants to dissolve her marriage so she can move on with her life. I don’t think [Kris] has a case, it’s a fishing expedition.”
Part of the reason for the delay is that the NBA star’s attorneys are preparing evidence to prove their claim that the 72-day marriage was based on fraud. Depositions were taken of Kris Jenner, the wedding planner, and current beau Kanye West.
Another reason for the continuing battle is the reported difficulty in getting evidence from third parites, including those involved in the production of Kim’s reality shows. Kris’s attorney Marshall Waller explained, “These are people who are hard to locate,” noting that private investigators are on the case.
After her court appearance, the lawyer told PEOPLE, “We want a trial because that’s the only way this will end. There was no fraud.” The next hearing date is scheduled for February 15th where the trial date might finally be set.
