Kate Middleton is planning on decorating her new place with the mementos from her travels with husband Prince William at their Kensington palace.
Showbiz Spy reports: The brunette has undertaken a number of official royal trips and private holidays with William since their marriage in April 2011 and is excited about moving in to their new apartment in London and displaying items from their trips.
“Kate is keen to put her stamp on the place with things she’s bought on her travels. She feels certain pieces would be nice when they have a bigger home,” a source said.
The couple are also keen to move from their cottage in Wales to London as they feel it will offer more protection for when they start a family.
“A baby is the main reason for the move. They want to bring up a child in a secure environment and the level of protection at their Anglesey cottage just isn’t enough,” said the source.
Meanwhile, sources say William and Kate are “excited” to start a family. The pair are said to be working hard to have their first child, and apparently can’t wait to become parents.
“They’re excited at the prospect of becoming parents,” a source told Us Weekly.
“They’re working on it. In a dream situation, they’d love to be a step closer at Christmas.
“They have been on such a high since getting married. It’s time for the next step — Kate is hoping she and William can become parents in 2013.”
The couple will wait until just after the first trimester to share the news wide.
“It won’t be hidden,” says the source.
“Kate will let her children have fun and freedom, but she will also make sure they do what is best for them.”
