Amanda Bynes is now stating that she is going to be suing In Touch magazine for publishing a false story about her in the Tanning Studio.
Contact Music reports: Amanda Bynes has said that she will take legal action against the gossip magazine In Touch, which published a story about the former child actress saying that she was seen wandering aimlessly through a New York tanning salon wearing nothing but tanning goggles.
Bynes, who has recently faced huge criticism for a string of driving-related incidents that have seen her incarcerated a number of times, told US Weekly magazine that she will be suing In Touch for printing a false story about her, as well as insisting that her mental state is nothing to worry about.
She was clearly unimpressed by the accusations when she went to US Weekly, telling the mag: “I’m not ‘troubled.’ I don’t get naked in public. I’m 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy.”
Bynes, who is currently facing a DUI, two hit-and-run charges, as well as two separate charges for driving with a suspended license, was recently dropped by her publicist, lawyer and agent in one go, although if she really is ‘retired’ then that does go some way into explaining why she has done little to get her career back on the road. Still, retirement doesn’t explain driving like a woman possessed.
