Ryan Gosling is ready to take is short term girlfriend Eva Mendes down the aisle but he has some work to do, considering that’s not what she wants!
OK Magazine reports: “I’m not, like, anti-marriage or the institution — like, for other people,” she told Chelsea Handler last May. “And I love the idea of a union — that’s all very beautiful. But I think, you know, it’s a very old-fashioned, archaic kind of thing. We did it for land, originally. How unromantic is that?”
Word is, The Notebook star is itching to marry his girlfriend of less than a year, Eva Mendes. He’s reportedly “head over heels” and using his Gosling-esque powers of persuasion to inch her to the altar, even though the sexy actress has long said she has no interest in getting married.
“It’s something Eva has balked at in the past, but Ryan has a charming way of helping her see a different kind of future,” the source said. “She’s getting on board with the idea of marriage.”
The duo have become increasingly more serious in past months, even spotted at Ryan’s mother’s graduation in Ontario, Canada, in early June.
The pair met on the set of their forthcoming movie, The Place Beyond The Pines, and Eva said she’s “never felt so creatively satisfied” with a co-star.
That being said, it might be difficult to get her into a wedding
