Since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January, Beyonce has continued to battle gossip that she and husband Jay-Z had used a surrogate to have their baby.
Rumblings began after the 30-year-old singer appeared on an Australian talk show in October wearing a dress that seemed to fold awkwardly, leading to rumors of a prosthetic baby bump. Beyonce dismissed the allegations as ludicrous.
“That was crazy,” she said. “It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy.” Surprisingly it was Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, who was angered most by the surrogacy claims. “I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months,” said the newly-minted grandmother.
