The show, which is being penned and produced by Pushing Daisies and Heroes helmer Bryan Fuller, has received a 13-episode order from the network, meaning that it will most likely make it to the midseason come next fall.
Hannibal is said to loosely mirror the events of Thomas Harris’ novel, Red Dragon, following the relationship between the infamously well-spoken cannibalistic character and FBI agent tracking his every move, Will Graham. These two characters were also featured a 2002 film, also titled Red Dragon.
